The Karrenbrock family founded Los Angeles Party Designs in 1983 with the mission of becoming one of the industry’s most innovative and imaginative event production companies. Millennium Biltmore 100th Anniversary
The historical Millennium Biltmore, in downtown Los Angeles hired us for their memorable 100th anniversary event. We reincarnated the actual event that took place there 100 years ago! Clients, press and neighbors were invited to step back in time, as well as see historical items recently discovered in the basement of the hotel…A night to remember!


Visit California Poppies Awards
Not the Wizard of Oz but California Poppies for Visit California, was at the beautiful Langham Hotel in Pasdena.


Spin Off Company that went Public, New Brand
The final night embraced the new brands, taglines and colors…Fresh, clean and crisp. Unique centerpieces using tall structures allow for a high-low design on each table. Hosted by the The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa in Palm Springs.


Christmas at Ronald McDonald House
Giving back is always rewarding. Whether LA Party Designs, or our clients, are giving back it inevitably warms the heart. This is an annual event held at the Ronald McDonald House across the street from Children’s Hospital downtown Los Angeles. LA Party Designs, was asked by the LAPD to participate by providing décor, games, audio visual, staging, and coordination. Thank you for asking…


Multi-Day Conference for a Large Organization

This week long, international conference had many parts for its attendees. It was hosted by the Ritz Carlton Rancho Mirage in Palm Springs.

Day 1:
Was a poolside event for the VIP’s first arrivals

Day 2:
Was and offsite dinner at a historical home high atop the Coachella Valley.

Day 3:
Was an offsite dinner at a celebrity’s estate

Day 4:
Was a large reception for all the attendees out on the venue’s lawn

Day 5:
Was an award and recognition dinner held in the venue’s ballroom for the “final night”.


Tent for “A Night with the Masters”
A huge tent was constructed on the property at the St Regis Monarch Beach. Towering King palm trees, endless yards of fabric, and lighting decorated the space. Dinner tables had iridescent linens which changed with the lighting. This award winning event celebrated the renowned local show “Pageant of the Masters”. For this event, the show performed for the first and only time on a stage outside of its theater. Bravo!

Holiday Themed Events

Halloween Haunting Event
LA’s largest real estate firm holds an annual haunting event for 500 plus guests. “LAPD” transforms their parking garage each year into a themed event. This year was a salute to “Hollywood’s” past with a special tribute to “Peg Entwistle”, the iconic starlet who took her own life by jumping off the Hollywood sign. Endless yards of drape and theatrical flats are used to disguise the concrete garage. Head shots of those who have passed decorated the space along with a life-size Hollywood marquis showcasing “Nightmare on Elm Street”. BOO!


“Kokopelli Legend” Event in Arizona
This event was held 1 hour off of the main road next to where native American Indians first left their marks. Indian hieroglyphics are etched into rocks in close proximity to this sacred ground. LA Party Designs created an elegant spiritual setting, using silhouettes of kokopelli figures, constructed palms and majestic lighting. The “Gods” were present for this phenomenal event.

Marketing Events & Corporate PR

California Science Center Event with Betty White
A PR company out of Boston contacted Los Angeles Party Designs to help with their clients message. We worked in conjunction with the California Science Center to setup in their Annenberg room. Celebrity Betty White read bedtime stories to children. Oversized graphics of storybooks and branding were combined with a bedroom setting.
Computer kiosks also allowed guest to talk about their experiences with the Sleep Better Mattress.

Networking & Industry Events

MPISCC Installation Dinner “Purple Panache”
Continuing our effort to give back “LAPD” teamed with the Sheraton Downtown and Luxe Linens to decorate the installation dinner for 2015.  Our oversized mirrors were fronted by arrangements of gorgeous purple orchids. Dinner tables had 3 arrangements that alternated on the dinner tables. Each of which a Zen motif. Up-lit slat walls backed the stage creating a sleek look…Congratulations to our new team at MPISCC!


Corporate Office Opening
One of LA’s hottest trend setting brands had a grand opening to their office and warehouse space. LA Party Designs served as a planner and decorator for this upscale brand.

Partners Meetings

Vintage California Beach
This event provided an informal atmosphere for a final night conference. Guests flowed from the ballroom to the outdoor patio of the Ritz Carlton Laguna. A “Beach Boy Tribute Band” filled the air with classic tunes. Long boards, towering King Palms, rattan furniture with retro beach patterned pillows decorated the space. Interactive activities allowed guests to engage in the fun. A renowned Laguna Beach glass sculpture created one of the kind glass beads for guest to create take away California beach style jewelry. In close proximity there was a surfboard simulator for guests to test their physical talent of hanging ten, along with other interactive entertainment.

Team Building

Flag Football on the Beach
Nothing says team building more than a good ole game of flag football. After multiple days of conferences and meetings this international group had LA Party Designs produce football playoff. At a famous local beach in Santa Monica, high powered lights were brought in, along with staffing and all need elements for this company to have a fun “SAFE” evening of football and dinner on the beach.


Creation of Booth at NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants)
We partnered with one of the largest groups of noteworthy brands to create a booth reflecting the different companies and brands. Platforms, rigging and finish design elements all came together to create the largest booth that year at the NAMM show.

Venue Transformations

Part One: California Surf
This 500 person plus event at the Anaheim Marriott, was moved to the hotel’s parking lot due to lack of space. Not a standard location “LAPD” was asked to transform the space into a functional area. California style beach colors were used to create canopy of shade. A sea of picnic tables were surrounded by some of the best food trucks around. Classic “Woody” station wagons added the perfect touch.
Part Two: An Enticing Lounge
Later that evening, after the food truck event, guests were treated to dinner in the ballroom and then a chic LA style club after party. Hip patterns, bold lighting, and one of a kind pieces were introduced to the space transforming the area into a relaxing enticing lounge. Hosted by the Anaheim Marriott.

Big Band Themed Anniversary
This event was held at the Valencia Hyatt, This couple not only got engaged in the club, but spent many a night dancing to the big bands that performed there. LA Party Designs recreated a memory from the past for this couple to celebrate with friends and family.
A Starlight Affair
This couple loves to dance. LA Party Designs created a stunning elegant setting. Professional dancers entertained the guests. After dinner the guests joined in and danced away the evening. Hosted at the Beverly Hilton.


Graduation at a Private Home
For this young lady moving off to college, her parents wanted a pretty garden party. We transformed the garage into a lounge area adding space to the event. Deep blues were combined with crisp white giving a fresh look to this noteworthy event.
Birthday at a Restaurant
A Louis Vuitton hand bag cake, a lovely arrangement, elegant linen, and cane chairs is all that is needed to create a celebratory look.
Baby Shower
It’s a boy! Toy blocks, teddy bears, powder blue, and chocolate brown decorated the ballroom at the Redondo Beach Crowne Plaza.
50th Birthday Celebration
This birthday celebration embraced the frigid tundra while celebrating the Alaskan native’s of love for the finer things in life.

Holiday Events

A Christmas Carol
Held at one of LA’s historical, exclusive clubs it is their annual themed holiday event. Walking down the streets of a stunning scene out of the “Christmas Carol”. Theatrical flats, wrought iron streetlamps, and themed details created a perfect holiday event.
Italian Carnevale
This wonderful client of ours originates from Italy and celebrates Italian Carnevale each year. Yards and yards of Mylar serpentine fills the home. Rich linens, elegant flower arrangements and candles are placed throughout the party. Custom renaissance photo boards were created for a fun filled photo op.
New Year’s Eve in Havana
Feliz Año Nuevo, travel to Havana! Guests walk by vintage travel posters before entering the dining room which has been transformed into a festive “New Year’s Eve” event.

Bar and Bat Mitzvahs

Pink and Green Bat Mitzvah
Held at the SLS, Beverly Hills, a pink and green color pallette was used.  Custom branding created a foundation for this stunning design.
Purple Bat Mitzvah
Held at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills, this stunning shades of purple and white event glowed in key areas. Hybrid flowers in tall, fluted vases glowed from within. A ceiling treatment made for a princes was created using sheer organza and white Tivolis lights. Simple and sweet…
Basketball Themed Bar Mitzvah
Oklahoma Thunder is this boy’s favorite team. Basketball highboys, a collection of different styles of seating, graphics, custom DJ area, “parquet” dance floor and themed arrangements were used to decorate this local hotspot.


Simple and Fresh Outdoor Wedding
Simple and fresh… mason jars filled with field flowers and Gypsophilia, burlap bags with custom take aways and pastels colors all came together for this happy day.
Turn of the Century Themed Wedding
Outdoors at a western museum in an oak forest, the ceremony was held under a ribbon laden tree. One of the couple’s friends is the creator of the “Simpsons”, so he gifted his art which was incorporated throughout the space. The property served as a wonderful backdrop to this unique wedding.
Gold Elegance
This bride and groom preferred a more ornate design. Crystal epergnes and candelabras top gold Lamour linens. Deep red, fushia and purple flowers enhanced the rich look. Hosted by Island Hotel in Newport Beach.
Santa Barbara Wedding
This wedding was held in Santa Barbara.
Outdoor Lake Wedding
Social; Wedding, overlooking Lake Arrowhead.
